Introduction to Project Management 

Project management is a fundamental skill in our modern workforce, as it ensures that what is being delivered is not only right, but that it also delivers against the business opportunity. This short course is designed to cover the basic principles of managing projects to help you plan, control and organise activities to ensure that you are delivering successful projects every time. It is best suited for staff who may be new to managing projects or have not previously undertaken any formal project management training before. 

Participants are encouraged to bring along current or future projects to start applying your new knowledge and skills immediately to boost your confidence and drive great results. 

Learning outcomes: 

Following this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Understand the basics of project management, including how project management is different to the operating environments. 
  • Develop and refine a scope statement. 
  • Understand how to create a project plan (schedule) that works and tools and tips on how to execute quickly and effectively 
  • Understand the elements of stakeholder management in a project environment.
