Preparing for Your Performance Development & Management (PDM) Conversations

This session will provide staff with the opportunity to understand their role and responsibilities within the University’s Performance Development & Management (PDM) process, and how they can actively contribute to productive and successful performance conversations. This session will involve key information regarding the PDM process, together with a chance to apply the learning in a safe, risk free environment. 
 
In this session, we will cover topics including: 

  • Preparing for your PDM – what do you need to know? 
  • PDM forms and resources available 
  • Core Attributes and development opportunities 
  • Giving and receiving feedback 

Learning outcomes: 

  • Key information to navigate the PDM process effectively and fulfill your responsibilities as a staff member 
  • The opportunity to develop your understanding of the core attributes and how they contribute to PDM conversations 
  • Working knowledge of the resources, tools and support available 
  • An understanding of contemporary approaches to giving and receiving feedback.
