Wellness Leave

In 2021, the University introduced Wellness Leave, an exceptional additional special leave with pay benefit provided to recognise the sustained professionalism and flexibility our staff demonstrated in 2020 and 2021, particularly in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In acknowledgement of the continued commitment and contribution from UniSA staff, a further two days of Wellness Leave was made available to all continuing and fixed term staff, pro rata’d by employment fraction, for use between Monday 4 July 2022 to Thursday 22 December 2022.

Staff are reminded that it is important to proactively manage their leave balances across the year and are encouraged to take their recreation leave as soon as possible in the 12 months following its accrual. Information on the leave entitlements available to staff at UniSA can be found here. If you have any questions regarding any leave types, you can AskPTC to find answers directly from our FAQ knowledge base or submit a specific enquiry online through a web-based form.
