University of South Australia Placement Grants

General information

The University of South Australia Placement Grants provide financial assistance to students typically in their final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate program which requires a placement for a consecutive block duration of 120 hours or more. These grants support students who relocate to undertake a program required placement in a remote or rural location or students from a remote or rural location required to relocate to a metropolitan placement. These grants provide students with an opportunity to experience the unique demands and challenges of engaging with various communities and will help meet the costs associated with undertaking a placement, including travel, accommodation and living expenses.

The grants will open for online application four times per year (Jan, Apr, Jul, Sep) to allow for students to apply within their relevant placement period. Placements must be confirmed, and students are eligible if they nominate and are subsequently selected for targeted placements in my Placements on the student portal. Financial disadvantage and academic merit will also be taken into account. Recipients may not be in receipt of any placement grants offered at UniSA and students can receive the UniSA Placement Grant only once.

Value: $2000
