Whyalla Campus Scholarship

The UniSA Scholarship for Student Leadership is available for a student studying through the UniSA Whyalla Campus. This scholarship is suited to students who are passionate about the student experience and are interested in undertaking specified activities with the aim of enhancing the overall student engagement at UniSA.

The successful student will have a unique opportunity to develop excellent employability and leadership skills, while contributing to UniSA's mission to provide an outstanding student experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Gather ideas and feedback from students relating to engaging events and activities they would like to see delivered on their campus or more broadly.
  2. With support from UniSA staff, the scholarship recipient will summarise the feedback and propose an engagement activity, in the form of a business case.
  3. Where possible, work with Whyalla Campus staff to implement and measure the success of the proposed engagement activity.
  4. Collaborate with the Whyalla Campus staff by providing advice support and feedback more broadly on the student experience.
  5. Meet regularly with the Regional Manager and/or Regional Student Support and Project Officer

How to Apply

**Please carefully read the below criteria, as applicants who do not meet each of the below requirements will not have their application considered**

Applicants are required to provide:

  1. Latest copy of your resume
  2. A written statement (maximum 500 words) briefly describing “how you believe you can enhance the student experience for UniSA students”

Your written statement should also include your answers to the following questions:

“I can commit to meeting at least once per fortnight with UniSA Staff in the relevant semester” (Y/N)

“I will participate in student engagement activities where I am available and the activity does not conflict with other commitments”.

Eligibility:

  • Full-Time or Part-Time student through the UniSA Whyalla Campus
  • Current participant, or willing to participate in a Student Leadership Program.
  • Grade Point average of 4.0 or above

Value: Up to $2000. Payment will be in stipend amounts of up to $200 per fortnight, depending on the hours required of the position. Payment is subject to the student being enrolled and maintaining satisfactory academic merit (GPA above 4), meeting the agreed hours per week and objectives of the scholarship.

 

Mt Gambier Campus Scholarship

The UniSA Scholarship for Student Leadership is available for a student studying through the UniSA Mount Gambier Campus. This scholarship is suited to students who are passionate about the student experience and are interested in undertaking specified activities with the aim of enhancing the overall student engagement at UniSA.

The successful student will have a unique opportunity to develop excellent employability and leadership skills, while contributing to UniSA's mission to provide an outstanding student experience.

Responsibilities:

Please note that scholarship recipients enrolled full time at the University are likely to receive this scholarship exempt from tax. Part time students are not able to access this tax concession. UniSA cannot advise the tax implications of receiving this scholarship, and successful applicants should seek personal taxation advice. Applications can be lodged via my Scholarships in the student portal.
my Scholarships can be accessed by:
- using the URL: https://my.unisa.edu.au/Student/SCMS/Home.aspx , or
- by logging into my UniSA Student Portal and navigating to 'my Finances', then selecting the link to my Scholarships under the heading 'Related Information'.

Online applications will open 18 May 2023 - 30 June 2023 via my Scholarships
