The Program Approval Manual (PAM) is a guide to the development of all coursework programs.
Promotion Approval dates for minor course amendments that can be approved throughout the year are provided below:
Proposals for new programs and new specialisations require this completed non-tuition fees template (Excel 16 KB - staff only) to be attached to the proposal in PCMS. This data is used by UniSA International to meet the university's obligations to publish and CRICOS register these fees in accordance with the ESOS National Code. For more information, refer to the Program Approval Manual (PDF 619KB - download Adobe Reader- staff only).
The program and course details stored in PCMS underpin a number of systems and processes across the University. PCMS information is used for marketing publications and web display, course outlines and timetabling, and supports the student lifecycle from admission through to graduation, as well as statutory reporting.
This is the list of the professional staff in your area who are the key users of PCMS. They can assist you in navigating the process.
The following flowcharts have been created to assist with understanding the steps and roles involved in the Program and Course Development Lifecycle:
To assist in the creation of Program documentation, an Exemplars Directory has been created that lists each section of PNS / Program / Course documentation and links to useful examples of the information that should be captured in each section.
An Amendment Page Matrix has been created that lists the sections that are displayed for each of the different amendment types available for Programs, Courses and Major, Sub-Major, Minors (MSMs).
This document describes the Stakeholder Consultation/Notification Process used for all amendment types in UniSA Business, and contains examples. This may be useful to other Academic Units.
