ARTS was developed for the purpose of obtaining electronically academic record information about current and former students who have made application for admission through an admissions centre, and who have authorised that admissions centre to obtain their records directly on their behalf
Automatic ARTS requests are initiated by admissions centres and may be targeted at an institution in the same State as the admissions centre, or via an interstate admissions centre, to an institution interstate.
