Please note: myUniSA offers customised information for students, which means students see different versions of myUniSA depending on their study mode and location. Not all versions of myUniSA include all sections or section elements listed on this page. See the relevant Quick Guide to find out what you should be seeing in your version of myUniSA.
myUniSA is a 'one stop shop' student portal that provides information and services to support students while studying at the University of South Australia. Students login to myUniSA for a personalised view of their course, enrolment, finance and resource details, and to access many other features including their UniSA email account. myUniSA can be customised by adding links to regularly used websites.
Links are provided on the my Current Studies page to the relevant academic year calendar. The calendar includes all the key dates for your study at UniSA, including official study period start and end dates, census dates, enrol by dates, withdraw dates, exam periods and more. You can also find some key dates for each course on the Course details page.
myUniSA can be accessed using the link at the top of the UniSA home page
or by using the URL my.unisa.edu.au/public/studentweb
You will need to be currently enrolled and have a current username and password to logon to myUniSA. If you are having problems logging on, contact the IT Help Desk.
Used to add new links or edit existing links on the my Links and Portal Links features on the myUniSA Home page. The Portal Links section allows you to select from a list of UniSA sites, while my Links can be a shortcut to any websites you use regularly
When you close the Manage Portal Links window the links will appear in your list.

On the myUniSA Home page, an Alerts section will appear when:
Student announcements are added to myUniSA on a regular basis and contain important messages relating to study, opportunities and events. They appear on the Home page of myUniSA and are either published to all students or to specific student groups such as transnational or research students. Only members of the targeted student groups will be able to view the announcements.
The first day an announcement appears, it will display in the Current tab. The next day it will move to the Previous tab and stay there for around two weeks. When an announcement no longer appears in either tab, you can still find it using the Search Announcements function.
Staff can submit requests to post announcements to the Student Portal via the Submit Announcement form accessed from the Add Announcement option in the Announcement area of the Staff Portal.
myUniSA can be used with most web browsers - the only requirement being that it handles tables, cookies, JavaScript, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) communications. All processing and data verification is handled by our web servers, so that the application is not dependant on your browser settings. Although client side JavaScript is not required, increased functionality can be obtained by using a browser that is JavaScript compliant or by turning this feature on within your browser.
myUniSA is best viewed with a minimum screen resolution of 800x600 and 16-bit colour, although all functionality has been tested on the following browsers :

For the best results it is recommended that you use the latest, patched version of your preferred browser (we recommend Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox for Windows environments and Safari for Macintosh environments). Browser and/or display problems should be reported - please state which browser, computer and operating system you are using.

For the meaning of a census date, see the Glossary of University terms. To find census dates for your courses in myUniSA, click on the course you are interested in on the Home, my Current Studies or my Academic Record page. This will bring up a Course details pop-up window. The census date is listed under Class enrolments.

To change your password go to the my Resources page and select Change my password on the right-hand side under Related information.
The Change my password form will appear. Fill in your details and click the Change my password button.
New passwords will be converted to lowercase. Passwords must start with a letter, use only letters or digits and be between 6 to 8 characters in length. Please wait for 15 minutes before using your new password as it may take this long for the change to be made to all of the relevant University servers. If you have problems or questions regarding passwords, the IT Help Desk FAQ (Password and Logging on) will help.
The Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN) is provided to all enrolled Commonwealth supported and Commonwealth assisted students and shows details of your enrolment at the census date including:
The CAN can be found under my Finances. Students who are not Commonwealth supported or assisted will receive an Enrolment Confirmation Notice (ECN) which can also be found under my Finances.
To find your Course Coordinator's contact information, click on the course you are interested in on the Home, my Current Studies or my Academic Record page. The Course Coordinator will appear at the top of the page and is hyperlinked to the course coordinator's homepage. You can also find your Program Director's homepage by clicking on the program name on my Current Studies or my Academic Record.
If you click on a course title on the Home, my Current Studies or my Academic Record page, a new window will open containing relevant details for that course. Sections may include:
For details about any of your credit transfers, go to my Academic Record and select the Credit Transfers link from the right-hand side. Alternatively, the credit transfers for each individual program can be found on the program details page. This page is accessed by clicking on the program name on my Current Studies for programs with current course enrolments, or my Academic Record for all programs.

To view your library demerit points in myUniSA, navigate to my Resources. A summary showing the number of demerits is displayed in the Library Summary at the top of the page and the details can be found in the Demerits section towards the bottom of the page.
To search the UniSA staff directory, use the Search function in the top right-hand corner of myUniSA. Select Directory from the dropdown list, enter your search term in the box below and select the magnifying glass icon. You can search by name, phone number, room number, function or location.
If your course has an online discussion group this can be accessed by the Course detailspage for the particular course from myUniSA Home or my Current Studies. Open the course details page by clicking on the course name, and scroll down to the Discussions section.
myEnrolment is an interactive web application that allows you manage your enrolments with UniSA. myEnrolment can be accessed from my Current Studies and my Academic record in the related information links on the right-hand side, as well as in the Portal Links in the Home page if you have set this up. myEnrolment allows you to enrol directly into other UniSA classesand undertake activities related to your enrolment program, including adding and withdrawing units, changing your expected course completion or cancelling your course enrolment.

The Enrolment Confirmation Notice (ECN) is provided to all enrolled students who are not Commonwealth supported or assisted and contains important information about enrolment and fees at the census date for each study period. Current and previous ECNs can be viewed and downloaded from my Finances.
Students who are Commonwealth supported or assisted will receive a Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN) which can also be found under my Finances.
Summary of Enrolments documents can be found on the my Academic Record page in the Enrolment Summary section. The Summary of Enrolments is intended for use by you for delivery to third parties (i.e. Centrelink) to verify your enrolment before the census date. After the census dates of each Study Period you will be issued a Enrolment Confirmation Notice (ECN) or Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN) to confirm your enrolment.
Your course exam timetable is displayed on the Course details page for the particular course. This page can be accessed by clicking on the course title from the Home or my Current Studies page. The exam timetable will display the date, time and location of your exam. See the Examinations site for more information.

The GPA is the Grade Point Average that is calculated using all completed course grades obtained by the student for a program. It is a cumulative GPA which is calculated and updated as new results are entered. To access your GPA, click View GPA which is located next to the program title on my Academic Record. You can hide your GPA again by clicking Hide GPA.

Note: A program grade point average is not relevant for Research Programs and therefore is not displayed.
Graduations information is found via the Graduations link, located from the Student Admin section in my Academic Record.

Only domestic and international students studying onshore in Australia have an internet allowance. Your internet allowance and usage information can be found in my Resources under Internet. The Internet sectiondisplays your allowance, the details of your usage, and links to top up your internet allowance. Your most recent invoice will be displayed in my Invoices section of my Finances. Previous invoices can be found by clicking the Previous Invoices link beneath the most recent invoice.

The IT Help Desk is the single point of contact for all information technology issues within the University of South Australia. Help Desk staff are available to assist you with information technology support and, where appropriate, refer you to alternative support areas.

Assignments due two weeks before or after the current date will display in the Latest Assignments section on the Home page.
To submit assignments online from myUniSA, navigate to the Latest Assignments section of the home page, click the learnonline Assessments link, and select the appropriate course. For help submitting assignments via learnonline, please see the Assignments section of the learnonline Course Site Help website.
If your course has a learnonline site, all course assignments, including those already submitted, can be found in the learnonline section of the Course details page.
Any questions regarding your assignments should be directed to your Course Coordinator.
Library information can be found in the my Resources section. This includes any current loans, books ready for pickup, requests and demerit points. Links are included to a range of library resources in the Library Information section on the right-hand side on the my Current Studies and my Resources pages.

To prevent unauthorized use of your UniSA username and protect your privacy, you must completely exit myUniSA. To finish your session, you should use the Logoff button that appears in the top right-hand corner of myUniSA.
Links to any website(s) can be added to the Home page of myUniSA by using my Links. This is useful for navigating to any websites or webpages you use regularly. See Add/edit links for help on how to do this.
The details of course materials that have been dispatched are displayed on the Course detailspage for the relevant course. Materials are usually only posted for external courses.
The my Academic record page displays your course results, relative standing and program grade point average (GPA) for all completed courses at UniSA. You can also access current and previous Program details and Course details, your Record of Study (also known as an 'unofficial transcript'), Results notices, Commonwealth Assistance Notices (CAN), Enrolment Confirmation Notices (ECN) and information regarding credit transfer and graduations.

my Current Studies displays your current enrolments, including Program details and Course details. If you are currently enrolled in multiple programs, your most current program will be displayed first. It also includes a list of Related Information and Library Information links that may be helpful for your studies. Research degree students have a my Research page instead of my Current Studies.
To change your course enrolments, select the myEnrolment link on the right-hand side of the my Current Studies page.
my Email links directly to your Microsoft Outlook university email account. If you require assistance in using your email, click on the question mark Help button located under your name in the top right-hand corner of your mailbox.
For further assistance with your email account please contact the IT Help Desk.
Students have a 10GB size limit on their mailbox size. If you exceed your mailbox size, you will no longer be able to send or receive emails. Read ISTS' Tips for managing your mailbox.
The my Finances page displays account balances, your fee paying status for each study period, invoices and payment options for payment of any outstanding balances. If you have any queries regarding your finances, please contact Campus Central.
Please note: Transnational, Transnational Research, and OUA students do not see the my Finances page.
Your personal details are located on the my Personal Details page. This includes your name, address, email, phone and other relevant information. You can update your personal details by clicking on the Update link in the relevant section, for example Update my Address to update your address details. This will open a new window to allow you to maintain your details. Make sure you click Save before closing to save your changes.

my Resources outlines the resources that are provided for your personal use. It shows your internet and printer allowance, details of your usage, the remaining balances, and links to top up your allowances. It also displays details of your Library activity, previous IT Help Desk service calls, and a link to log a new IT Help Desk service call. Related Information and Library Information links are provided on the right-hand side, including Change my password and Setup my password reset account.
my Research is only available in the research degree student version of myUniSA. It displays your scholarships, supervisors and leave date details, as well as your current enrolments with Program details and Course details. It also includes a list of Resources and Candidature Resources links that may be helpful for your research. The Candidature Resources links will change depending on what stage of candidature you are in.
my Services provides a list of links to student services, resources and information. Links are divided into the following categories to make it easier to find what you need:

To navigate between these pages, click on the different headings. Once you've clicked on the heading the relevant information will be displayed. Further detailed information is accessed by clicking on links located on each page.
paynow is the University of South Australia's own secure online payment method for student fees. The system is available through the student portal, myUniSA, on the my Finances pillar and is the fastest and preferred payment method.
paynow accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Japan Credit Bureau and China UnionPay cards and meets PCI DSS requirements.

Please note that my Current Studies only displays programs with current course enrolments. To access previous program details, go to my Academic Record and click Previous Courses to see programs and courses with non current enrolments.
There is a link in the Student Admin section of my Academic Record which opens the my Record of Study page. Here you can create a Record of Study, which is an unofficial transcript, by clicking the Create record of study button. This could take from five minutes to an hour to produce. Once you have created a record of study, you can view (and download) it anytime by selecting View record of study. If you have completed more courses or have new results, prizes, awards or credit, you should click Update record of study to get a current Record of Study. Once again, this could take up to an hour to produce.
The Record of Study is not designed to be used in the capacity of an official transcript. If you require an official record of your complete enrolment history you can obtain a copy of your Academic Transcript.
If you are in Bad Financial Standing you will not be able to produce a Record of Study.
You can redirect your UniSA email to a personal or business email address that you access more frequently. To redirect your email go to my Resources and select the Redirect my email link from the Related Information section. Read the conditions of use and then enter your alternate email address, click the disclaimer box and then add/modify. If you need to change or delete your alternate email address you can do so through the same link.

Your course results and relative standing are located on the my Academic Record page. To view your relative standing for a particular course, click the graph icon in the Relative Standing column next to the course name. This will bring up a chart that displays the amount of students that obtained each grade level for the course in the same study period as you. This gives you an understanding of your result in relation to other students, for example what percentage of students achieved the same result as you, and what percentages achieved higher or lower grades.
If you are in Bad Financial Standing your results will not be displayed, with the Result and Relative Standing columns left blank.
If you have any queries regarding your grades you will need to contact your relevant course coordinator. To find your course coordinator contact details, see Course contacts. Alternatively, you can contact Campus Central.
There is a link to your Notification of Results available from the my Academic Record page in the Results section on the right-hand side. The Notification of Results is designed to take a snapshot of your results. It is not designed to be used in the capacity of an official transcript. If you require an official transcript, it is recommended that you obtain a copy of your Academic Transcript. For an unofficial transcript, you can access a Record of Study.

To perform a search, select the option from the drop down list, type your search in the box below, and click the magnifying glass icon or press enter.
In the Related Information section on the my Resources page, there is a Setup my password reset account link. Here you can set up a password reset option that allows you to reset your password by answering predefined questions and answers. There are two choices available - either create your own custom question by selecting Create my own question or select from a pre-defined list of questions by selecting Choose a predefined question.
Once your password reset account is setup, you can reset your password by providing your UniSA username, student ID, date of birth and the answer to the pre-prepared question.
