Non-award, Audit and Cross-institutional

Non-Award

Non-award students are those students who are not enrolled in a program but may be enrolled in individual courses. The student will still be assessed for those courses.

Non-award students may also not enrol in courses worth more than nine units in any semester and may not, under normal circumstances, complete courses totalling more than one quarter of the total units for any program

Tuition fees

Students shall pay fees determined by the university and will be charged on a per unit basis according to the level of the course (undergraduate course or postgraduate course) and the unit value of the course.

For example, if we take the table for below, and assume that a domestic student wishes to study a 4.5 unit undergraduate course then they would pay $675.00 x 4.5, which equals $3037.50. Therefore, the total amount payable for a 4.5 unit course would be $3037.50.

 Audit

Audit enrolment is a type of enrolment where a student can attend a single course but is not enrolled in any program. The student will attend the course for information only and will not be assessed for the course. Audit enrolment cannot be used to gain credit towards future enrolment in an award program.

Tuition fee

Audit students will be required to pay a tuition fee as determined annually by the university and will be charged on a per unit basis according to the unit value of the course.

For example, if we take the table below, and assume that a student wishes to study a 4.5 unit course then they would pay $277.78 x 4.5, which equals $1250.01. Therefore, the total amount payable for a 4.5 unit course would be $1250.01.
