Tips for Graduation Day

Watch this short video for some tips to help make your graduation day enjoyable.

If you are feeling unwell on the day you should not attend the event, stay at home and seek medical advice. 

 

  • Be prepared for the weather. As the graduations utilise different locations across City West campus dress for the conditions.

  • Cloakroom facilities are not available at the ceremonies.

  • Bring what you need for the day. This might include water or a snack.
  • Allow enough time for travel to the venue or car parking to ensure there is no need to rush and you don’t arrive late for registration. Road closures in Hindley Street will be in place. Parking restrictions in surrounding streets is enforced.
    • Hindley Street will be closed west of Clarendon Street and east of Liverpool Street. Clarendon and Liverpool Streets will remain open to traffic.

  • After registration and robing you may have free time to visit the graduation service providers in the Kaurna Building, opposite Pridham Hall, where you will find photography, flowers and other graduation merchandise. There will also be displays for  parchment frames and parchment plaques that you can order online.

  • Stage photos will be available in the Kaurna Building after the ceremony.
  • In the event of an emergency the evacuation points for Pridham Hall are Light Square and George Street (northern end). Emergency exits are marked on the walls of all campus buildings.
