Open Universities Australia (OUA) was formed by a consortium of universities and offers tertiary education by distance mode.
The University of South Australia (UniSA) currently offers 3 Undergraduate courses, 2 Postgraduate courses and over 70 different individual units through Open Universities Australia. UniSA is one of the largest providers through OUA in terms of the number of students registering in its units.
Units are offered in off-campus mode using a combination of print materials and online delivery technologies. This approach to learning is designed to offer flexibility and to promote student-centred learning. Academic support is provided by staff based in particular Schools. Administrative support for OUA students is provided by the Student Service Advisers, Campus Central Whyalla.
