In line with our Support for Students Policy, Student and Academic Services undertake many activities to support our students in academic, personal and professional endeavours. This webpage provides an overview of the programs and services we provide to our students.
Campus Central will communicate with students at key points throughout their study, from commencement to completion. We do this to provide you with timely and helpful information on topics such as available support services, student ID cards, key dates (teaching start, census date, exam periods) and to offer assistance if your studies should not progress as planned. These emails are designed to keep you up to date and ensure you can focus on your studies, not the minutiae of university life.
Campus Central also monitors the progress of UniSA students through our Academic Review process, to ensure that we can offer support to those that require it. This occurs four times a year, two at the mid-year point (July and August) and two at the end of the year (December and February). For more information on how the study periods are divided into these review periods, you can check our FAQ.
Students are identified as making unsatisfactory progress if they:
There are three notification types a student can receive, depending on the number of times they have been identified in the Academic Review process. You can find more information about these notifications here.
Although it can be daunting to receive an Academic Review notification, it is important to remember that this process is to identify students who are struggling and provide them with appropriate support.
If you would like further information on how Academic Review is undertaken, you can contact Campus Central, or access AB-68 P7 Academic Review Procedure.
