Alternative exam arrangements

Arrangements for students with an Access Plan

Students with disabilities may negotiate an agreement to alter the standard final examination conditions. If you believe you require alternative exam arrangements please contact Access and Inclusion Services at the Student Engagement Unit.

The arrangements will vary depending on the impact of the disability and are outlined in an Access Plan. The Access Plan will be provided to you and your Program Director by Access and Inclusion Services at the Student Engagement Unit.

IMPORTANT: For your requirements to be in place for your final exam, your Access Plan must be finalised* no later than the date specified in the table below relevant to your enrolment study period.  It may not be possible to accommodate requests after this date, therefore it is important to arrange a meeting with an Access and Inclusion Advisor early to provide every opportunity to ensure that your requirements can be met.  Late requests cannot be guaranteed.

 *FINALISATION OF YOUR ACCESS PLAN will only occur after:

1. supporting documentation has been provided;
2. you have met with an Access and Inclusion Advisor to discuss your requirements; and
3. your access plan has been approved

The arrangements that are agreed upon can be temporary or can be in effect for the duration of your study, depending on whether the disability is temporary (e.g. broken arm), fluctuating or permanent.

For face-to-face exams scheduled centrally by Student and Academic Services, the Examinations Office will inform you via email of what arrangements have been made before the examination period.  This information will be included in your personalised final exam timetable email.  For online exams, if your exam time is extended to include Access Plan extra time, the extra time adjustments will be visible in the Moodle quiz and in place from the exam start time.
