Please be aware of the zones you are permitted to park. Any vehicle parked in the incorrect zone or without a valid Permit or registered payment will be issued with an Expiation Notice under the By-Laws of the University of South Australia enacted under the University of South Australia Act 1990 and pursuant to the Expiation of Offences Act 1996.
Expiation notices are issued by CarePark. Expiation Notices are required to be paid within 28 days. Failure to pay within this period, a reminder notice will be issued which will incur a late payment fee. Unpaid Expiation notices will be escalated to the Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit.
An Expiation Notice will not be waivered with the exception for trifling (for the meaning of trifling see section 4 (2) Expiration of Offences Act 1996)

If the parking offence is committed by another driver of your vehicle, you are required to provide a Statutory Declaration in accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1961. The Statutory Declaration must be signed by and authorised by a Justice of the Peace and returned to Care Park Pty Ltd.
If you believe the offence was trifling you can apply to Care Park Pty Ltd for a review of the Expiation Notice (for the meaning of trifling Section 4 (2) Expiation of Offences Act 1996).
If you receive an Expiation Notice you can elect to be prosecuted. You must elect prosecution as marked on the Expiation Notice and return to CarePark Pty Ltd. You will receive a summons which will set out when and where to attend court.
Failure to make payment within 28 days from the date of the Expiation Notice, a reminder notice will be sent to you which will incur an additional $40.00 late fee.
Failure to make payment within 28 days after the reminder notice is sent the fine will be escalated to the The Fines Recovery Unit South Australia who will take enforcement action against you.
