Connecting to UniSA VPN after installing f5 BigIP Edge Client on macOS

Important:

The use of all Information Technology (IT) facilities at the University of South Australia, including the UniSA wired and wireless networks, is subject to the University's Acceptable use of Information Technology (IT) facilities policy. 


NOTE: For security it is always a good practice to disconnect from the VPN when not in use.

  1. Using Launchpad
    Launch pad.pngFind and open the application titles BIG-IP Edge Client

  2. When it opens, it will open your systems default web browser and prompt for an email address.
    Enter your UniSA email address and click Next.

  3. You will then be taken to the UniSA Federation page, where you need to enter your username and password.

  4. The Okta Multifactor Authentication page will appear, click the Send Code or Push Notification button, enter code and click Verify.

  5. After verifying through MFA successfully, you’ll get the below notification, at which point, you can close the tab.

  6. The Big-IP VPN Shield icon (on the menu bar across the top of the screen) will display some loading dots and then go solid white in the middle indicating it is connected.
