Collaborative Teaching Type 2 (AV32)
This is an AV32 Audio Visual system. Suitable for collaborative tutorial rooms and other similar spaces, the AV32 is a continuation of the development of collaborative spaces from previous CTS and FTR spaces. Featuring a HD projector, large projection screen, multiple LCD displays, speakers, multiple installed AVPCs, and BYOD HDMI connectivity, all controlled using a touch panel controller.
This system is the successor to the now deprecated CTS Type 2 specification.
This design is suitable for the following use:
- Viewing capacity of up to 80 seated participants.
- Discursive and didactic teaching with a dedicated presentation location.
- Collaborative decentralised breakout huddle displays distributed throughout space.
- Media playback with installed speakers for audio.
- Three installed AVPCs at each display location for use by UniSA students.
- BYOD connectivity via a HDMI connection at each display location.
- Document camera with controlled lighting.
This design includes the following AV equipment:
- Full HD laser projector (instant on/off) with motorised projection screen.
- Permanent lectern with mounted touch panel, AVPC & BYOD HDMI connectivity.
- LCD large-format displays at breakout locations with multiple AVPCs & BYOD HDMI connectivity.
- Wireless microphone system with handheld and lapel microphones.
- Document camera.
- AV over network video & audio switching.
- Ceiling mounted PTZ camera for software VC.
- Installed distributed ceiling speakers.
- Network switch.
- Network-connected power distribution unit.
- IR hearing augmentation.
Optional changes to this room design include:
Touch-screen LCD display
- Replaces the non-touch LCD display.
- Uses a commercial 86" LCD display with glass touch screen.
- Mounted using a height adjustable wall bracket allowing better reach of the touch screen.
