Can Outlook automatically empty Deleted Items?

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File in top right corner
    select file
  3. Click Options
    options
  4. Click Advanced
  5. Tick Empty Deleted Items folder when exiting Outlook under Outlook start and exit
  6. Click Ok

NOTE: The above will only work if you close Outlook manually, it will not work if Outlook is forced to close on Shutdown.
