How can I find out who the owner(s) is of a Shared Mailbox (SM)/Calendar?
Open Outlook
Click on Address Book under the Home tab
Search for desired option eg SM-UniSA Apple Admin NOTE: All Shared Mailboxes and Calendars start with 'SM'
Double click the search result ending with -O
Take note of who is listed under Members, for they will be able to edit the membership of the Shared Mailbox/Calendar in question. If the Members contains a Distribution List, then double click on it to and the members listed within there are the owners. NOTE: If no owner(s) are listed under Members you will need to contact the IT Help Desk to obtain this information.
A) If an individual is listed under the Owner section they have the ability to add people to owner members, which in turn will allow the new staff members ability to grant people access to the Shared Mailbox/Calendar. If a DL is listed, double click to find out the owners.
Click Cancel on the SM window
Click Close in the top right corner of the Address Book window
Contact the owner(s) to have the Shared Mailbox/Calendar access updated accordingly
