UniSA will be releasing Windows 11, the latest major release of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, from June 2023. While this new version will be similar to Windows 10, there will be some visible changes, such as the new design of the Start menu.
Windows 11 includes many security features and enhancements which help to protect UniSA computers from unauthorised access, malware, and other potential threats. Updating the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) to Windows 11 is important and will work alongside other cyber controls within the University to better protect its people, devices, and data from cyber-attacks.
ISTS have tested most of the commonly used software in our environment to ensure that it is compatible with Windows 11, but please refer to our Windows 11 AskIT page for further information and tips.
