Access previous UniSA Staff member's mailbox

This form will NOT be accepted if the previous UniSA staff member still has an active account with UniSA.

NOTE: This form is for a staff member who left the university less than 3 months ago. If the staff member left over 3 months ago you will need to complete the Retrieve mailbox content from archive form instead.

Important:

The use of all Information Technology (IT) facilities at the University of South Australia, including the UniSA wired and wireless networks, is subject to the University's Acceptable use of Information Technology (IT) facilities policy

 

Terms and Conditions

I understand and acknowledge that it's my responsibility to ensure the information I have provided above is accurate and have already discussed this change with involved parties.

I understand and acknowledge that the previous staff member's account name will be displayed on the Global Address list with ‘left’ appended from the effective date specified.

I understand and acknowledge that I will be given access to the former staff member's mailbox as a Delegate. If contacted by the former staff member, I will be responsible for forwarding personal mail messages to former staff member.

I understand and acknowledge that email messages, relating to university matters, are considered institutional property and will therefore be dealt with by UniSA. I declare these messages will not be disclosed OR forwarded to the former staff member.

I understand and acknowledge that after three months, the entire mailbox for the staff member will be archived, then deleted from the Exchange server.

I understand and acknowledge that UniSA is under no obligation to migrate old email messages on legacy mail software to MS Exchange OR to keep old email messages of staff who are no longer employed by the university.

I understand and acknowledge that unless under special circumstances, archived messages may be recovered, up to a period of 1 year. In such situations, formal request is required stating the reasons for recovery and the date/period of the mail messages.
