How do I apply unique permissions to SharePoint content?
Click on the cog to open the Settings
Select Site contents
At the site contents screen find the Library or List you wish to permission uniquely and hover over the ellipse (three dots)
Click on Settings
This will take you to the settings screen for this List or Library. Choose ‘Permissions for this document library’ or 'Permissions for this list'
This screen displays the permissions that are inherited from the Site. Click on ‘Stop inheriting permissions’ to break the inheritance.
Click OK on the confirmation
At this point the permissions from the Site level access has been copied. There will be a message ‘This library has unique permissions’, but you have not made any changes yet. You need to review the groups and remove any that you do not want to access the List or Library and add any additional groups that need access.
You can select one or more of the groups and change the level of access to the List or Library or remove the group altogether.
To grant permission to a group that isn’t listed you can click on grant permissions.
Enter the name of the group - If you have not created your group to grant access to the Library then see How do I create a group?
Select the permission level you wish this group to have
